Well... Sierra had me get a blog like two weeks ago and this is my first entry. Haha

I am not starting on a good note either. The morning run at 6 we just did a 3 to AC and my shins were killing me. Its a totally different pain than the last time I had shin splint too so i don't know how to deal with them yet. This morning I thought that I could just run it out but they just got worse as the run went on.

Then this afternoon I went to talk to Mark the athletic trainer and he just told me to watch them and if you need to cut the work out short. So i got maybe 5 or 10 minutes into the workout and I knew there was no point in pushing it cause I was limping so bad so I just turned around and went and put my lets in ice.

I think the problem might be that my shoes are worn down. I've put lots of miles on them so they are definately at their last days. . Hopefully I can treat these shins before BYU though!

Hey Chandis! I'm so happy you got a blog! Good Job on running today! I really hope your legs get better soon, because I missed running with you this afternoon! Keep up all the hard work and effort you put out :)! And do get those legs better for BYU! I'm so excited for that :)!

Ps - WELCOME TO THE BLOG :)

Oh my gosh! It was AMAZING! I had to skip team practice today cause I have shin splints way bad and I think my shoes were what was causing it so instead of going to practice I went and got a new pair of shows from the running center! I always love going to get new shoes! :))

When I got home I did the 4 mile AT work out from home. It felt soo much better. . . . I could still feel my shins hurting a little, but nothing like the other day! I am so excited to go to practice with the team tommorow.

Hey Chandis! I hope your shins get feeling better soon! Good job on getting your workout in w/o the team, though. You're awesome, keep it up! Hope to see you this weekend at the meet!

AM- Easy 3 this morning. I couldn't get to the school so I just did this one on my own. I took it extra slow to make sure my legs were agreeing with me finally! I was so happy my shins only hurt a little! The new shoes are working miracles already!

Afternoon- 5 I think. . . i am not totally sure. It felt SOO good though! we did a warm up to harts and then got started on 800 repeats. I was so scared cause I have never done these before. The first one i hit a 3:27 and then coach said he wanted me to stay at 3:30. That scared me! But i did pretty good. It went 3:27, 3:25, 3:33, 3:35, and 3:44. I was kind of dissapointed that I couldnt push it that last little bit on the fifth one but overall the workout was really good and my legs felt much better. 2 cool down grass loops with Micci and that was it!
